Langtang lies north of Katmandu valley, which offers a multitude of trekking destinations. The major areas are Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu, which can be combined in many different ways to make trekking lasting from seven to 16 days. The trails are very much challenging which passes often through deep forests and across the glacial river with fabulous mountain views and interesting villages with well-established lodges.

The people in this place are mostly of Tamang and Tibetan origin - Sherpas, whose culture goes back to hundreds of years. The craftsmanship, dress, traditionally built stone houses and the beautifully carved wooden porches reflect the solitude and the serenity of the Himalayan scenery.

Langtang has many glaciers of varying sizes with Langtang and Ganesh Himal as well high altitude lakes including Gosainkunda, Parvatikunda, Bhairavkunda, Dudhkunda etc. It has many ancient Buddhist monasteries such as kyanjin and Sing-Gompa and the historic fort of Rasuwa-gadi in the china-Nepal border.

This is a challenging trek of immense personal gain and satisfaction.
